Talking thanks

Thanks for writing. I'm not really a sad sack, but guess I sounded like it. But at least it made you write I live in Canada, but Scotland is more like home. My dad hails from Stirling and we have recently returned from visiting. so I guess that's where my loneliness comes from. Anyway, I am at work, so i should run. I hope you'll write back. Where in Scotland are you?

In Scotland (Glasgow anyway) it is dark (being approx. 18.30 here) and foggy. Does this help at help at all? Sort of depends what sort of weather-area of Canada you are in, I suppose.

Sorry, I must try harder, methinks.

Hello Whirley:
Welcome to S.Com--I'm former Scot but been in Canada all of my adult life. Still have lots of friends and relatives back hame! Are you a student? My son was over in Edinburgh a couple of years ago (have a niece there) he just loved it - would love to go to Univ over there but too expensive.
You will soon meet new friends and be so busy. Pretty tough winter for you -(brutile even for we natives!!!)
Go to Don C'm On-In board for more activity - lots of laughs.
All the best...cheers..Thistle
