Hi Zoltan,

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, definately tell me about Hungary! Since we have one of the biggest holidays in the whole year coming up over here, it kinda makes me curious what holidays you celibrate in Hungary? I'm just finding out some of Scotland's national holidays and finding it pretty interesting. I'm sure looking forward to Christmas here!...lol. Cold though.

I also wonder what kinds of music you like? I'm into scottish anything really....lol and Country here, and have many favorite songs in alot of the general genres. Just now I'm LOVING Scottish Traditional Folk (The Corries, Andy Stewart, etc.) and some Irish stuff. The drinking songs are REALLY cool!.......lol.

Oh, don't forget to tell me what it is you love about Scotland too!

WBS

Cool Scotland is so beautyful

Hi Melissa,

So, you interested about Hungary.
X-mas is Christmas here, too.
But in Hungary not Santa comes at Christmas. The "little Jesus" brings the gifts. Santa Claus (Mikulas)has his own day. He comes on this evening (05.12)and put gifts to the shoes of good kids and takes rods to the bad kids.
We have holidays related to religions (Easter)and other holidays related to events in the Hungarian history.
We don`t have Thanksgiving day and we don`t have Halloween, until these days. It just come used to, like Valentine`s day.
The main historical celebration is on 20th of august. That is the day of when 1st Istvan (St. Stephen) get his crown from the Pope. We call this Foundation of State and this day is for the Constitution, too.
If you want to know more about Hungarian history, please ask, because I love it, but I don`t want to bore you stiff.
I`m waiting for Christmas too. I love it, because I love to give presents, gifts ...

I like all kind of music, but since I`ve been to Canada I really like country music. I prefer celtic (Scottish & Irish) music too. The old bagpipes music as well as new hits (for example Hevia).
When I was in Canada in 1997, I found a band Leahy. They live in Nova Scotia (Canada) and play really good music.
Sorry, but I don`t know what does "drinking songs" mean. ???
But I like reels.

I always loved old traditional things and Scotland is a very traditional country. Then I saw the Scottish landscape on pictures and in movies, so I just don`t understand people why don`t they go there. I love castles too, the lakes, the Highlands ... the movie called Highlander ... I have a West-Highland White Terrier dog and her name is Beauly. Beauly is the name of a town at the Scottish Highlands...
So ... I just love Scotland!!!

US is big enough ... Where are you from?
What are you doing for living?

I used to play guitar, too.
Do you like Santana? Shadows?

Write me about yourself!
Bye: Zoltan
