Unhappy

Hello. I was born in Scotland but due to losing a bet with fate.... I haven't been able to go back in over a decade. I think I miss it more every day and I keep it in my mind and heart as some sort of mystic nirvana to which I will someday escape. I am looking for pen pals in Scotland, male or preferably female (no offense guys, I've just always gotten along better with women) who feel like trading emails with a transplanted Scot stuck in the U.S. If you are interested, please let me know. Thanks...

Sitting down and facing front

Domino,

I'm currently stranded in New Orleans. The city PJ O'Rourke referred to as "a high crime drainage ditch"
But my heart belongs in Aberdeen..

Hey Jase,
I am not Scottish, but I had to say hi to you, my closest neighbor on the boards! There was someone from Baton Rouge who used to post here a while back though. I am southwest of NO, and can relate to the feeling of being stuck here. New Orleans is a great place to visit, but I never liked living there.

Have you wandered over to the "come on in" section yet? If not, you will find more discussion there than in here.

Good luck with your search!

Good evening Jase,
Really, you do it the same way you go here. On the forums page, the same place where you see this Pen Pals section listed, just scroll further down. Come*on*inn (or written something like that) is the second to the last forum to select. Just click and go!
Good luck!

Hiya Jase

Well, I am originally from Dunfermline and I have been uprooted and now live in Switzerland where I work for an International Organisation...I know it's hard being away from home...it's worse when you don't understand the language

I was just back home in August watching my dad play the bagpipes for charity in the 10,000 pipers they had marching through Edinburgh...I miss home You cannie beat a good haggis supper washed down with a pint o' Irn-Bru!

Take care...stay in touch

Ciao

Ren
