Hi EveryOne,
Maureen, Welcome back! I`m still waiting. Trip? Where to? Did I miss anything or my memory has serious problems? Willy, No more secret. I`m working for the Ericcson, selling communication systems, call centers, etc. Before this I worked for the Citibank. I think Hungarian wine is very good, but I`m not a wine-drinker, but actually my Dad has his own wine-cellar. We will find you the right kind of wine, Willy. Don`t worry! What about champagne? I know that the champagne is originally from France, but Hungary has a traditional champagne factory, here in Budapest. All my relatives in Canada loved that Hungarian champagne, I took. The name is Törley. (Their website is under Construction). Robin, What`s new in Louisiana? What did your last week so busy? Bye! |

Hi Hungarian!
Thanks for your reply! Well...let me ask this...is your father's wine mostly green or red coloured? (As I tend to prefer a Beaujolais or Pinot Noir) BUT!!! I love champagne too! (Do they do "Mimosa's" there at "brunch" with champagne and orange juice?) ![]() What are the "manditory" places to visit in Budapest? (I thought of staying at the Hotel Gellert only because of the famous baths there...)

Hi Willy,
My father has white and red wine too. His red wine is similar to Pinot Noir. His wine cellar is not a professional one, but his wine is very good because his heart is added to it ... and if you want to drink wine from our grape-yard you have to know, that I`ve settled it years ago. Beaujolais? I`ve just decided to try it, because I read about it in a magazine. By the time I will know which Hungarian Beaujolais is the best. I heve never heard about "Mimosa`s", but I`m gonna try it. Budapest: you have to see the bridges of Budapest, the Castle of Buda, Church of Mathias, Fishermen`s Bastion, Parlament,Opera House, Square of Heroes, Chatedral of St. Istvan, Aquincum (Roman city at the original place) Museums, Railway Station to West (designed by Eifel),Zoo, Underground Railway (this was the first in Europe except London), ... and the whole city is fulled with interests like all the old cities in Europe. There is http://www.budapest.hu site, but the English version is under construction. So, if you come there is what to see ... What about SanDiego? Balboa Park must be a nice place and the picture of San Diego Bay made my heart beat faster. I like yachts and clubs ... I mean I think I like them, because there is no too much "sailing water" in Hungary and yachts are for rich people ... but I like it. I feel the same way about golf. Do you know the SeaHorse Inn? Do you know Gregory J. Smith? Bye: Zoltan |

Welcome aboard whenry!
Maureen, is it Ireland you will be headed too? (I am so intrigued to go there myself soon!) Or will you take the "gutsy" move and visit the States? (...jacuzzi is heating for you if you make it out REALLY West!) ![]() Zoltan, Thanks so much for all the information. Your father's vinyard sounds wonderful! I loved what you you said about his wine-making coming from his heart! Oh, btw, I meant to answer you before regarding visiting Libyan Hotels. Usually in "hostile" territory American's may be "advised" to not visit politically "adverse" establishments. For the most part however, since we are used to enjoying many freedoms, we are free to choose where to stay without concern to governmental policy necessarily. (In other words...if you know of a great hotel which simply is owned by Libyans who run a fine establishment in Hungary...I have no problem with that....)

Hi Everyone!
Sorry Zoltan...I became so interested in seeking my own answers I forgot to add mine. lol! ![]() San Diego is a very nice place and very "laid back" compared to L.A. or S.F. We do ocassionally go sailing with a few friends, (their yacht, not ours. lol!) unfortunately, my husband tends to get seasick so we do not sail quite as often as I would like. Also, my sister loves fishing, so oftentimes we will go deep see fishing when she comes out to visit from New Mexico. (In CA. you may catch tuna, swordfish, barricuda etc. and salmon in Northern California.) Balboa Park is beuatiful and was built for the World Exposition in the early 1900's. Everytime I return from Europe I tell my husband I need a "fix" for culture and we will go to Balboa Park to visit the museums and have lunch, stroll the grounds, ect. Balboa Park is adjacent to the San Diego Zoo which is renown for it's "humane, environmentally sensitive, habitats. Both places I would highly recommend as a tourist in S.D., along with the Maritime Museum. As for the Seahorse Inn, I am not familiar with one here locally although there are a few Inn's up the coast with the same name. The name Gregory Smith sounds familiar but I'm not sure why.....(please fill me in!) OK...where is everyone else??? >=]
