Hi,I am sure that you will really enjoy Scotland. Its hard to describe and better than me have tried, but it is very beautiful
in places and quite awesome in others. You will be able to snowboard in the latter part of the year, sorry dont know much about it but the information will be easy to find. The people are friendlt but like everywhere else there are exceptions. The suggestion that Americans are not liked is far fetched, enjoy. |

Hi, Maureen. You "sound" like a really nice person. I live in the U.S. and have been reviewing Scotland.com since last year but have never signed on until now. You live in Glasgow? What is the land like there?

Hi Jane,
Glasgow city is a large built up area, but within it there are some really stunning parks, great architecture, great culture mix and fab night life. About 6/7 miles outside Glasgow the areas are much more rural and so pretty. I was raised outside Glasgow in a small town and I miss the view of the hills and landscape. Where do you stay and what is it like? take care M |

I'd love to hear more about the small town where you're from. I live in the state of Virginia, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love it here, it's beautiful. The mountains aren't considered that big, about 3500-4000 feet tall. I finally figured out that "Ben" is a mountain in Scotland, is that correct? There is hiking, boating, water and snow skiing and snow boarding here. I live about two hours southwest of Washington, D.C. Tell me more about you. I love hearing everything.

thanks, i've been looking at pictures and reading loads of books, including poetry (thomas the rhymer and tam lin are very awesome to know about, i read a book a while ago that used some of their stuff, i thought the author had made them up, so it's really weird to hear they were real.)
anyway, i don't know how i'll hold out until next year!!!!! lib |
