Hello boereman: The weather was great when we visited. It was about 75 or 80, a little mist every once in awhile but not much. The weather there is alot more enjoyable then here it is about 110 degrees here (HOT), we did have some rain 2 days ago about 1/tenth of an inch, its been a month since we had any rain. Well, let me see what did we do when we were there: We went to the Tattoo in Edinburgh Sat. Aug. 5, we did the Ghost tours on Sun., Mon. left and went to Tibbie Shiels Inn, I really enjoyed that. It was very beautiful there. The next day we went to Ayr and seen Robert Burns's home and stayed at the Carrick Lodge Hotel (very nice too). Wed. we went to Glascow we seen a pipers concert there but at this moment I can't recall the name of it. We left on Thurs. the 10th. It was a short trip but we tried to cram a lot in while we were there. The rest of my family had already been there a week, they got two weeks there. We couldn't come that early. We visited alot of towns in between to but I don't recall the name of them. They were the most beautiful places I have ever seen. So crisp and clean. I miss it, there were some hikers at Tibbie Shiels inn that I would like to have talk too more. I should have gotten there names. They were on a hike from the east coast to the west I think. I would like to do that someday. Well I must get supper on. Please feel free to email me. Lisa Meces@go.com |

hi lisa my name is john i am from , glasgow scotland although i now reside in sunny south florida , due to reason regarding sun worship i left scotland in pursuit of palm trees, surfing and the incredible urge to wear shorts 365 days a year without freezing to death and fear of losing my families jewels , i now reside in a warm climate ,although i do miss the freezing cold and the torrential rain of my birth place ... just kidding , well i am glad you enjoyed the warmth of the scottish culture we are a nation of hospitable people and it is a lovely country ,although i still have my house and family there i decided to see somewhere else and will eventually end up back at my point of origing ( only for the summers ) there is nothing like winters in sunny florida .. if you would like a real scottish pen pal please feel free free to reply at the given e-mail or i can be reached at floridascot@aol.com......looking forward to hearing from you....john
