i'm seventeen, and i'm going to spend my (second) senior year in scotland (next year) i'm an american, and i was wondering if there are any traditions, or just things that "aren't done" that i should know about, as well as any places i ought to visit especially. this is a chance for me to get away from parents, yes, but also i may never go back to the states.
thank you
liberty k.

hello...

i am an american but i was in Scotland last year for Hogmanay. one thing they always told me: in the us we dodge right when we meet someone on the street. in Scotland, dodge left. i'm not sure if that's true or not...neo16 probably knows more about it than i do...Scotland is a wonderful country and the people are very nice. they have a great sense of humor i know you will have a wonderful time! if you have any other questions, my e-mail is calista.martin@scotland.com.
