I teach 7th grade special ed and am looking for general travel info and posters to use in teaching my 20 students about geography, social studies, math, science, language arts, etc., by using maps and travel brochures. Multiple copies for use by my whole class would be great, but I understand if you are unable to send them for each student.
I am also looking for email penpals, if you know anyone who would be willing to correspond with my kids! Thank you very much for your assistance. Margarete Mabie, Bellview Middle School, 6201 Mobile Hiway, Pensacola, FL 32506 |

Hello there. For good general up-to date information regarding Scotland on the net, you can't go better than http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/uk/...nd/default.stm
This is the best Scottish current affairs site on the internet. It has loads of links too. For some really good pen-pals for your children, I'd suggest you contact one or more schools or a local council. http//www.argyll-bute.gov.uk is an excellent site to initiate enquiries. It is my home area (in Scotland) council and has contacts for every school in the area. Many can do video conferencing. They're almost all on the internet and I shall try and find some details on individual schools for you if you wish. I'm afraid that I don't have much that I can send you, being in Canada, so I believe the approach I mentioned is best. They're just back at school themselves. Very best wishes, Neil Smith |

How old are pupils in 7th Grade? That doesn't mean anything to me. There are some Youth home pages on the Islay and Jura site that might interest your pupils - see http://www.islay-jura.com and look under the youth section (needs Flash) They may also like to find out who is blowing bubbles in the intro?
