Hello, it's just me again; Mayflower, the african lady in need of a highlander friend.
I have such high and noble impression of scots as very friendy and warm people, yet not even one scotish lad ,let alone a highlander hasresponded to my message.
I'd like a male friend from the scottish highlands, I had such high hopes when I came to this site but now I'm feeling let down...........by who? no one in particular but my imaginations.

Mayflower.

Mayflower: The Scots are quite outnumbered on this board. One reason is that they pay more for Internet access than say... people in the US. If you have the time, stick around. Sometimes it takes a while to get to know people via Internet discussion boards.

(Good afternoon and how are you doing?) I suppose I'm what might be called an (almost) ex-pat of Scotland. I'm nearly in Canada a year now, but fully intend to return to the West Highlands of Argyll to live and work eventually. I could probably answer many questions you have about the land and its people anyway.
There are indeed a remarkable number of Americans on the @scotland.com site, but don't give up hope. We are here, but our internet interests are often directed elsewhere.
