Thoughts on Stirling

My daughter & I visited Stirling in June 2009. . . we did the tourist routine. . toured the castle, took photos by the Highlander statue, stood on Stirling Bridge, climbed up the Wm Wallace tower. . . I remember the green hills below, the river winding like a silver ribbon, the puffs of coal smoke coming from a stone cabin, and the rain clouds over the Firth of Forth. It was lovely. I asked our guides to drive us through the college grounds. Saw a few students gathered under trees. Wanted to walk up and down the narrow streets below the castle . . . reminded me of the "Royal Mile" in Edinburgh. . .but we didn't have time. Do you like living there? How is the economy? Is it raining today?
Cynthia
