Maggie in Florida

Hello,
It seems no one comes here anymore, but then, who knows. Maybe today I'll get lucky, although, come to think of it, good luck doesn't come my way often. Not enough to suit me anyway; but then, perhaps I want or expect a lot in life. I think we should want and expect happiness. It is out there for our taking if we want it. Sometimes I'm too lazy or shy to reach out, however.

I'd like some male and female Scottish penpals, or English.
Do Scots really not like the English? My Gramp used to say this.
Hope to hear from someone soon.
Maggie

You are right people don't seem to come in here any longer.

The question you asked about the Scots and English has been covered in many posts over the years.

I am English with Scottish parents so I am biased lolol

The press in my opinion make things seem worse than they are, I do wonder why no one
ever asks if the English don't like the Scots !!

Take it from me we don't, as I said the press make it seem worse.

I do live in England and have never ever been asked it....and neither have my friends.
Even the one's who don't know my Scottish parents !!

I know that many English move to Scotland for a better quality of life !!

Why foreigners should think that we Scots dislike the English (nowadays) seems odd to most Scots.

I have no problem with the English - or the Welsh - or the Norn Irish.

I must say I did not see any trouble there at all when I was travelling about there - but I do read it here and here in fiction books, so wondered.

Do you have any family, I have 3 daughters and 5 grandsons.
Musn't forget a husband and a cat called Tia.

Various hobbies include:

Card making but not had time lately with packing to move
I also like walking(when these old legs will let me...lol)
Gardening
Reading
Cooking
Knitting
Photography...not too good at it, my last masterpieces were titled from a car and from a
railway carriage, things look floppy from moving vechicles lol
