Question Any pals over 40?

Are there any pals over 40 out there? Drop a line & let's hear from you! Tell us all a bit 'bout yourself, where you're from, and what you like to do. I'd love to hear from any of you out there!

ah well... men are only interested in 20 years old... but if a woman over 40 would do, I'm game.

Talking Hello Eleana!

How true! But, I'm happy to chat with anyone and was hoping to find someone closer to my age. I sometimes forget how old I am until I get on a site like this and it reminds me how out of touch I am .

Are you from Scotland or just interested in the area? I'm from the U.S.A., in the Midwest area.

Hope to hear from you again!

Patricia

well, I am sorry to have to disappoint you but I live in the US as well. There are only few Scots who live in Scotland on this board.

I am not even SCottish, I have to point that out although I have reason to believe that my family has Scottish ties. Nevertheless I take great interest in languages and history of Scotland. I've visited several times and will do so in the future.

What about yourself?

Yes, I've noticed that also. But, at least everyone on this board shares the same love for Scotland & everything Scottish.

I haven't been to Scottland yet, but it's my dream to visit there soon. If only I'd win the lottery..... heh-heh!

Things have gotten so hectic here now that it's getting cooler. The leaves have all fallen off my maple trees, but there's still many more clinging onto the others. There's also a lot of winterizing to be done to my house as it is quite old and not very tight. And, work has gotten so busy that it's usually dark when I get home, and I can't do much outside in the dark.

Whereabouts are you from in the US? My family also has ties back to Scottland, but they're rather far back, as they came over in the early 1700's. My grandmother was a Robinson. While doing my family tree I also found the names of Moore & Bruce in the direct family line. I have her line back to the mid 1500's, thanks to a lucky break at finding the family parish records online. Are you into genealogy? I love trying to find out how my ancestors lived and wonder what their concerns, hopes, & dreams may have been.

not really into genealogy but things may change upon retirement.

I live in North Carolina and have German with a little French and supposedly Scottish roots.

Winterizing... geat idea, hehe here it's around 77 still and very dry. Dry spell on the Southeast, bah, and I had to turn a/c back on.
