Is the forecast from your "prophet" always, well more sometimes right or a day late as here in Bavaria/Germany?
Here, they not only give you the forecast, but what the weather was for the day that had just past. The latter kind of report is the only one I usually trust, no matter what. Sometimes, it's only partially right. They say it's going to pour like a flood from the sky and all we get is a light sprinkle. Now Missouri, where my school that I'm enrolled in is, that might as well be a different planet. I don't remember ever seeing weather reports on the news, and it didn't take long to figure out why. Texas weather is unpredictable, but atleast you can divide the forecast into halves or occasionally thirds for the day. In Missouri, you pretty much have to divide into 15-min. segments over the course of the day. You don't really know what the day will be like, whether you'll have rain (how much/little), blazing heat(with or w/o humidity, and how much), or even if it's going to be still or almost like hurricane winds. And most of all, you really don't know when. I was on my way back to my dorm room near the end of the day before supper, and it started to sprinkle, then rain a little harder. I got inside and just a minute and a half later, there wasn't a drop anywhere to be seen, it was so hot. Stayed that way until late that night and the sky really let go. Next day, it was almost freezing. The weather's nuts, but I love going to school there anyway.

Did you ever rearrange the furniture in your room or build an extra room to your house?
I know you asked NotAngel this, but I couldn't resist answering. Sorry if anyone's toes are stepped on, now!:-/
The house I live in now w/ my parents has been worked on so much in the 15 years we've lived here. This used to be my great-grandparent's house, then my father's father lived here. I think it was built in 1950, or around there. It has been worked on and remodeled so much since we moved in, you would hardly recognize it on the inside. I'd probably bore you by talking about it, so i'd have to find some pictures for you to compare. The first thing we added on was our garage and what used to be my parents woodshop that they made custom furniture in. The woodshop is now a nice sized apartment/flat that we rent out. Other than that, my mother is slowly turning our backyard into a grassless garden w/ paths. We also have a raised vegetable garden, patio and pond in our backyard.

If you are trying to find out about your family's Scots genealogy, then you should contact GRO in Edinburgh. All Scots births, deaths and marriages are registered there.

Hello wandering,

The weathermans do the same here, they say the weather as it was yesterday and then the forecast for tomorrow and the following days, but sometimes it's not even close to it. 3 years ago we had a burning summer and everyday the weatherman said it's starts to get colder and rainy the next day, but only the temperature raised at a few degrees daily. I was really helpless in my office and I stood even with barefeets on my workstation, but all I got was black soles and additionaly to that a guy insulted me cause of this. I will hope the weather is the way you described in Scotland, cause I would hate to hike in burning sunshine or pounding rain, just as it was in Ireland, but I guess with my luck I get burning sunshine. My parents drove today to a barn with almost every animal in it, like elephants and others and I guess my nephew will like it.
We rebuilded our house as well a little, but to prepare the old house, we live in is difficult, cause the walls are made out of stone and not bricks as it should be. We replaced alittle of the old walls until now and we builded new rooms as well. But mainly we build new barns around our house or something our machines are in. Before alittle while I made my room nicer looking, but after a few weeks my mother told me that I have to free the room in the attic, cause my sister wants to biuld a flat there. Could you this imagine? Now I have only, "only" 2 rooms left.
Did you also walk to school barefooted as me sometimes?

Hey Arora,

That will hopefully be real a good trip this year, but I hope my chief grant this, cause it would be my 8th week of vacation this year. Next week the vacationtime starts with my chief and unfortunelly I have then during it a week of seminar, then my colleague is a week alone and she will have a real busy time.
This year we had already a small Oktoberfest in our big town and I couldn't get enough of it. I even drove with the ghost train and it hit me:"I'm really to old for this stuff". Before I was seated on the freefall, but this was really breathtaking for me, to shot up and down again.
Last year at this area, I wondered why the people looked that funny to me on my sight, but at home I saw that I had splattered the sauce of a sausage over my shirt, I was that embarrassed, but we all make mistakes, but in my case the mistakes know everytime where I am. Did you do something "crazy" as the freefall or the ghost-train?
