Question

I've been to Ireland (but not England) and I am travelling to Scotland this May.

I've rented a car with two other people and we're making a loose itinerary starting from Glasgow. I need some advice with travel locations!

Also, I'd love to keep a regular correspondence with people from any country.

Hey Kay,

I was as well to Ireland, to Killarney exactly. The weather was so lala. But in London the weather was always damn hot, not as I had expected, but I enjoyed this time as well.
This year I will come to scotland as well, but with a group, cause there I can get much knowledge and fun. We travel with a bus and march 2 or 3 hours daily. We start from Edinburg up to the south.

I am from Bavaria/Germany and hope that we can talk here

We'll compare notes...

... what kind of group are you travelling with? What parts of Scotland are you most interested in- the history, the whiskey, the nature, or something else maybe?

I hear there are some great hikes in Scotland, but I'll be travelling with one person who can't hike very well, so we will be mostly driving from place to place.

I researched it, and the weather in Scotland right now is far warmer than it is where I am. It's snowing constantly and about -4 F (-20C) so I'll be happy to go to warmer weather. It's odd to think about since Scotland is much more North than my present location.

Thanks for writing back!

~Kay

PS- MORE PENPALS WELCOME!

Hey Kay,

It's a group of Studiosus, I don't know any of them, but until now I had only one mistake with a group during my travel, I hope that we consist mostly of youngsters, like me, under hundret, under 50, under 40 and I hope my roommate will be OK, but with the last I hadn't a single problem, but I expect always the worst.
I'm interested in everything about Scotland, where the kilt comes from, the nature of course, the marchings and a little about the whiskey.
I wouldn't be right now in cotland, I prefer the snow and the cold weather. Tonight it really snowed, but this was a little bad, cause I had to plough the garage out before leaving and on the way home it was wet additional to the snow and I don't like this.
