Hello back
Tha mi Donnachaidh,
Sorry Susanne, I'll start again. My name is Duncan, I'm 58 (old and crinkly), if I can help in any way I'd be happy to do so, but why are you asking Scots to help with your English? We are not too good at it ourselves as you soon see if you checked the language threads on this site.

LOL@Tuechter,
that's a good point. After 2 years of living in Scotland I'm still confused sometimes but hey, even the English have strange accents. In written it doesn't make much of a difference anyway. @Susanne, welcome aboard. There's an other website I can recommend too when you want to improve your english. You can find stories and tests there: http://www.spotlight-online.de Take care, Elke |

May I warn you trying to improve your English? Your going to confuse yourself profoundly!
Don't get mixed up between English English (what's that btw) Scottish English, and American English. tuechter, you're not looking cringly to me, but those twisted fingers of yours. german-lassie, bet you are confused. Never had so much 'what was that?'s than at my visits to Scotland. That's the nice thing about writing. You can read it all over again to catch the meaning. |

your'r most welcome Susanne. BTW a funny way to get used to the accent is watching Billy Connolly videos ;-) i.e. his World Tour of Scotland is great - and you're going to see beautiful places throughout Scotland.
@Eleana: Where are you from? |
