How's it goin? Just want some Scot's to talk with. My mother is Scottish and I grew up with her side of the family. We are all American but they still kept their heritage. They are Argyles. So would like to meet some people from the proverbial home land. I want to learn Scottish gaelic and hear what the climate is really like etc. etc.
I am a teacher, I teach the media arts and love music. Learning the guitar, play the violin a little and want my own Celtic Punk Band some day.I started out in the Online gaming industries doing graphics for MMPOG's.So now I teach the craft. Some day I want to go spend some time in Scotland doing historical and Pub tours of Scotland , scoping out some of the celtic music there.I'm very interested in the history and mythologies of the Scots.

Hello American,

You will wonder, I'm no scot, no england, not even a GB.
I can only say that the weather, I was there 2 times, surprised me the last time. I had only clothes for the cold and windy weather with me, but then it was damn hot. I was there only 4 days, but that is always a great experience to be there. The Pubs are very great, the beer is good and cold and there is almost always good music in there too.

Hello Quick

Theres a Brit that works where I do, she's from north England and her accent is almost Scottish, she took her American born and raised daughter home for a visit for the holiday's and she said the cold just seeped through every thing because it was a damp cold. They couldn't stay warm. But you sound like you went in the summer or something? I would prefer the summer.

I bet the Pubs are good. An Irishman just opened a Pub here and he serves Tenny's which is a Scottish beer. It's real good. He plays Celtic music as well except for local bands on the weekends.

Are you American?

Thanks for replying

Hyia,

I went, as I remember right in the September there and it was really hot there. And unfortunely I forgot my Mastercard at home, that I could buy more clothig that are suitable for this weather. I only had 100 bucks in Pounds and 20 Australian Dollars. It was a very cheap shopping tour but I liked the people very much.
I tasted the beer there and especially the Guiness tasted very well, but here in Germany it didn't taste for me very much and I don't know why.
I am a German, who likes to visit all the nice vacation spots in the world and get more knowledge about it. I like to make guided tours, through eg. USA and have a great time there which means that I'm open to everything and I don't know my trips always getting funnier.

Hi Quick :)

Ich Halb Deutch, mine fadder ist deutch. And that's probably as good as my German gets.

Seems like I've seen your name befor. Do you play Online games much? I would love to be able to travel. Living there in Europe all the countries are real close, some not more than a day trip I bet. You are lucky.

My travels have been in the states mostly. All the western states west of the great divide, hung out in Mexico for a bit in San Phillip, you could see Rocky Point across the gulf at night. It's the only place I enjoy Tecate. My favorite beer is Dos Equis green with a lime. It's Mexican beer made by Germans in Mexico. Then there is Jeagermeister ! I've also been to Texas a lot on business and lived there for a few months many years ago. Been to the Bahamas and Florida, spent time in the airport in Atlanta so don't think that counts much. As far as I am concerned the deep south is a whole "nuther" country, can't understand half of what they say with their thick accents.

Thanks for chatting with me. I do love to meet people from around the world. I had a blast in the Online gaming industry talking to people from around the world.

Hello,
I was in several countries too, and in Kuala Lumpur the capital of Indonesia I was too only on the airport. It's crazy I sat there 13 hours and drink a lot of coke, just to don't fall asleep. I was reading and the lest hour I talked to a girl from there, it really made my day and I was impressed how the german soccerplayers are known in the world. I had either problems to understand the people from the south, they dont open their mouth during the speaking. But at this time I was not much able to listen to english, so I guess that it was only me that don't understood it. But I get from the restaurants there what I want and more isn't required I think, most the times I was pointing on the pictures of the food in the menu card. (hehee)I am not much around as Quick, not more then here in the scotland.com.
Aber dein deutsch ist gut, ich habe sofort alles verstanden.
I love the beer here, especially the dark wheat beer, I drink everyday min. 0,3 liter, that's not much I know, but I still can be called as alcoholic. (hehehe)
But I don't drink Jaegermeister. It's in small bottles and I like more the Whisky from Ireland and England.

So long

Quick
