HI

Wild Animals, theres lots where I live. Both 2 legged and 4 and some with wings. We have cougars that used to come in to the yard and all our cats dissapeared. One got carried off by a huge golden eagle. I once saved a baby skunk from dying. It's mother had died some how and was rotting away under the riding lawn mower and the baby wouldn't leave her so I called the zoo and they came out and took it away. Theres havilina, bears and other creatures around my town. You can see coyotes and wild pigs trucken across peoples yards in town. The two legged ones you usually find on Friday and Saturday nights on Whiskey row down town.
I love to swim. I drowned as a child at Hi-C Hot springs up in Idaho but it didn't turn me off from swimming. Once I was body surfing at Huntington Beach and I got caught in an undertow. That was tramatic. By the time I came up I was miles from shore. Took me forever to swim back. All my ex husband did was ***** at me for being gone for hours with out telling him I was gone. What a dweeb. All I was concerned about was making it back before I became shark bate. But still love to swim.

hiya american-argyle

water scares me, your experience would have put me off for life! but then again, I wouldn't have been there in the first place!!! especially if I thought sharks were around!
I would have hated to see the eagle take the cat.....but then the eagle may have had babies to feed, nature is cruel. We are lucky if we see the odd deer around here, badgers and foxes are common, but nothing as majestic as a golden eagle unless you were in the highlands.

Well, he is my ex now,and sharks are a way of life if your surfing in the states, but the attacks aren't all that frequent. You read about one every once in a while. You also read a lot about kids getting dragged off by mountain lions up around Strawberry north of Phoenix. I think only one actually was killed by one. Right now the authorities are hunting a Black bear thats been killings peoples dogs a few miles from here. As for deer, tons around here and herds of antelopes you can see all the time. In town theres foxes that get the cats and of course if your on the outskirts they are coyote bate. It's almost a joke and people think people are just plain stupid for leaving their pets out at night. It's either live in the city and face drive by shootings or live in the mountains and small desert communities and face the wild critters. I've done both, the critters don't hassel you very much.

Good luck with your lifeguard training, I bet your wonderful at CPR.
