Hi! I'm new on here and I'm looking to meet some new Scotts. I'm 26, a woman, and live in Colorado and Arizona (can't make up my mind). I'm a Lindsey on my mother's side and I'm planning a trip to Europe at the end of the summer. I'd love to meet some people that I can visit and possibly stay with. I hear that August is the best time to visit, but would love to get an insider's perspective!

Hi elf...welcome to scotland.com
To be honest...from an insiders perspective.... anytime is a good time to come here...though you will find that if you wish to travel outside of the big cities that many places will be closed for the winter season... normally that would be from around the end of september to the middle of march...but there would still be some of the more main hotels open... our best weather time tends to be july'ish time...and you would never have to worry about it being too warm..unless of course your coming from Iceland..lol.. which of course you are not so all is good... just remember to bring some jumpers ![]() |

[i]Hello ELF1012
Welcome to Scotland.com ![]() I have been to Colorado.. lol.. Good lord is it cold up there in the winter.. lol.. Went skiing.. parked my bum in a Mexican Restaurant... and never left cause it was too cold to go outside.. lol.. However, no one warned me to slow it down on the Margarites.. lol.. due to the "Mile High" state.. lol.. Man I was pissed.. lol... Scotland is beautiful and when I was there in February, it was georgous out.. and then my second trip in June was even nicer.. I love the weather there.. aye... even the rain ![]() Enjoy your trip ![]() |
