Wink You guys are the coolest!

Druid and Nightwind,
You guys are the COOLEST! What happenned with "the one girl" you let me know and I'll cyber-kick her butt! I'm up for the clubs! Are you coming Nightwind? I hope so. You know I was thinking--
(it doesn't happen often but when it rains, my brain begins working . . . that's why I want to move to Scotland--because it rains more than in NM, USA,he, he)-- s.com should send us to Scotland for being the coolest new group on the forums. What do you think?

Now, really . . . I just wanted to tell you guys that when I feel lonely or sad, I cheer up immeadeatly when I see your posts. It's very nice.
Alma-Sirena

Hi Alma,

I'm from Michigan in the USA. I think the trouble with
this web site, is that it is difficult to understand
how to use it. It isn't explained well enough. I am not
used to these sites at all, and do not understand how
I will receive messages, or e-mails from any one. I'm
not even sure if you will get this. I am interested in
contacting people who live in Scotland. I've been to
the British Isles three times now. I vacation there for
two weeks, every other year. I've been in Edinburgh, in
2001, and loved it. I am planning to visit once again
in August of 2005, for the art festival. I would love
tips on how to get the best B&Bs , and just information
or experiences you have had at the festival. I love to
hear from anyone living in the British Isles. It is a
very special place to me. ( I wish I could live there ).
By the way I am Dave, I'm 42, and hope to get a response
from you.

[i]Well Hello to you Dave.. and Welcome to Scotland.com..

Perhaps the fact that your not use to any site as this one.. that is why it is a bit dificult to understand.. But... you've asked so I am here to help.. ..

You've a few options here Dave.. you can either remember which threads you have replied, posted or started throw out the board and just go back and check them when you've the time... OR .. lol.. the handy dandy email system as well that is set up in your profile, will send you off an email when someone replies to the Thread that you have replied in. Now.. that will not mean that the reply was directly to you, but just that someone replied in the same Thread as you have. So that means.. if you start a thread called "Hello" and you get a reply.. and so on.. you will get a wee email in your email account that you used to sign up here at Scotland.com..

So.. on the bottom of all posts as well.. your are wee lil pics.. for web addys, email, etc.. if you have any questions Dave, or need further help.. just drop me a email, or post it here.. as I will come back and check in.. ..

SO now I'll walk you thru the email notification set-up..
Sign into the site..
Click Profile at the top of the Forum page..
Then you'll see your profile.. Click on the tab that says "Forum Info"

Biography: Here you can type a wee bit about you that you wish the other members to see if they chose to view your profile..

Home page: Here you can enter your own website if you have one.

Signature: Here you can enter a Personal Signature.. as you see I have here.. the Picture and the text below the picture. (for help with the picture - please go to the "Personals Section" right below this Pen Pals section and read the "The all purpose signature picture q&a" It's Very helpful and everything you'll need to add a picture to your signature is there..

Hide e-mail address: If you don't wish another member access to email you from this site, then click NO.. If you would like them to have that option, then click YES..

Time zone offset: Well.. lol.. you know eh?

Default Thread View: I leave mine on Show all Threads.. lol.. That is up to you..

E-mail notification: And this is the ONE! .. Click ON if you wish to receive an email everytime someone replies to a Thread that you have as well..

I hope this has helped you Dave..

Mistress
