Hello Goldenlass.....I am a Scot...from Aberdeen....where Holly has the "connection" 2! Strange eh? I also felt very "connected" when I visited my friends in Inverness....or should I say the battlefield of Glencoe!!!!Very strange sensations...hairs on the back of the neck sort of thing, & a cold feeling...even though the evening was warm!!!Yes I met my Partner while living in Amsterdam....& we moved 2 Israel.BTW My late father( of Blessed Memory) was a sailor....&told me many times...he felt very at home...in Japan, when he was on shore-leave! & other places 2! My Partner is a special education teacher! Cheers no Tears BatEl

Very strange coincidences led me to take my first overseas trip to Aberdeen, and only Aberdeen.
Nearly a year later i discovered that my mother's father's family... the family i have always felt most like of the four grandparents because they were the sentimentalists and the ones with sixth sense.... that they came from Aberdeen. Now tell me the chances... that out of ALL european cities... i would take my first trip to europe to an out of the way city in Northern Scotland???????????? |

WOW....I think there is really something to all these coincidences. BatEl - I am definitely connected to Culloden and the battlefield of Glencoe. Maybe we knew each other back then. I can sometimes "sense" the tense atmosphere that existed back in that time and know that I was somehow connected to the Jacobite cause. Another strange connection I have is with particular tunes and songs. Whenever I hear the song "Scotland the Brave" played on bagpipes, I get goosebumps all over and I start to cry....sometimes I actually am left sobbing and weak.
Do you know if that song comes from any particular time period? I've tried to research it on line and it never states when the song was written. Do you still live in Israel or are you back in Scotland?? What type of students does your Partner teach?? HollyElise- It sounds like you also have that sixth sense that has been inherited through your grandfather's line. You certainly picked up on the "root" city and were drawn right towards it. Where do you live now?? Have you ever traveled anywhere else besides Aberdeen? And if it was so magical there, why didn't you move there or go back? Pattycakes- Jump right in. We'd love to have your input on this topic. Got to run - catch you all later. |

I have been drawn to the British Isles since I was a teenager. I have met certain people and it's like I've known all of them before and we all have done a lot of talking on the subject. It's like we all were part of a clan back in the late 1700 or so and some how we managed to find each other again in this life time, even if it is just for a short period of time.
For I feel that your soul does kmow where it has been and some times it reawakens to the sight of a certain place or a song and it well take you back to the past. Trish

Hi Pattycakes-
I truly believe in soul mates, as you do. I think we "bump" into each other in different lives for all different kinds of reasons. Sometimes it is to learn some lesson that will enlighten our soul and bring us to another level of spiritual consciousness. Other times, the timing is all wrong and you don't get to truly connect in that lifetime. A friend of mine sent me a copy of a book, THE EVOLUTION ANGEL, by Dr.David(?)Abrams, which adds a whole new twist to life after death and soul mates. It is currently unavailable, but can be found as a USED book on Amazon.com. Some bookstores may even have a copy laying around on a dusty shelf somewhere. I have to send my copy back to my friend or I would forward it to you. I may buy one online to have a copy around. I am not sure I agree with all of it, but it really provokes some philosophical thought. Have any of you heard of this book or read it yet??? I think you, BatEl, HollyElise, and I need to go back to our past lives in the 1700's and see if we were all somehow connected. Maybe if we are all free in August 2005, we can all meet near Inverness and "explore" any soul connections we may have. Just a thought. |
