spitfire,
I didn't know about the "awful" thing that I said being midwestern. I had always thought it was normal or something.. Hey, what's your favorite movie and book and singer? My book, of course is Left Behind. My favorite movie in theatre is Finding Nemo- it's cute and hilarious! Ok, I'm too old for this type of thing, but it's also a little sad. But I don't have a favorite other movie really, they all stink these days. I used to be crazy about DC Talk but now I think George Younce is good too. I have noticed people thinking about the Hollywood idea. I don't think that. I love the west. I was in Arizona for spring break and on my birthday I was there. It wasn't a terrific b-day but oh well. I hve 2 other brothers, but older. One is Derek, age 17, and the oldest of our "family", Jason, age 21. Why is your sister going to the hospital? I hope she'll be ok. I'll be praying for her. Actually, I want a ton of pen pals, so sure I'd like to have your brothers be my pals too. I don't think my brothers would make very good pen pals...they're somewhat like my sisters! They act rude towards my mother all because they think it's her fault because of the divorce..it's not. My "dad" never loved her..how sad, but she wants my brothers back really badly.. but I know it sounds mean, but personally, I like it quiet with my older sister always gone and my brothers at an apartment with my mean joke-playing "dad"... Well, I guess I have to watch my little second cousin right now, who is almost 4. Well, I'm sorry I'm a complainer, I just want to get this all out in the open. Brooke |

kiwi,
what's your fav. movie, song, etc.? I guess I should tell more about myself shouldn't I. Well, I love reading, and the only exercise form I'm good at is bike riding. I stink at all of the other ones. I have 2 sisters and brothers. Jason is 21, Shannon is 19, Derek is 17, I'm 15 of course, and my weasel double crossing sister Stormie is 13. Ok that was mean, sorry but I just can't help it. So, I have AOL and the screen name I chose was brookeluvsdurkes but to tell you the truth, I don't love him anymore. He's changed so much and it bothers me. He's too touchy and he wants to grow out his hair..and he loves mythology and highly believes in the evoloution theory. I have to disagree on that. And I haven't talked to him since the last day of my Freshman year last May. He all of a sudden called twice last week. But I didn't answer. Well, that's basically my life story. Brooke |

Brooke,
Your posts here made my day! Don't be offended, but I laughed so hard! You know, we use a lot of the same terms...being from the midwest. "Awful" is a normal thing...if you live in the midwest. If I said that out here I think people would look at me funny. And when you said "my weasel, double-crossing sister Stormie"...I just had to laugh. My family uses the word "weasel" too...a lot. I've seen so many movies that it's hard for me to pick just one that I like. I like "A Knight's Tale" a few movies you probably haven't heard of..."Igby Goes Down", "The Mighty", etc. Not all movies stick today...I agreed that "Finding Nemo" was great, but have you seen "The Italian Job"? That's a good movie. Fave book? Well, I love the Bible. Just with the movies...I read so much that choosing a fave book is hard. I like the author James Patterson. His book "Cradle and All" is one of my faves. And I like "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White...it's a classic about King Arthur. Once you hear who my favorite singer is you just might think I'm a big nerd...I love Michael Jackson. I've grown up on his music and think he's awesome. I also like Hanson...yeah, everyone thinks they're lame, but I think they rock. I also like a lot of old rock and roll music. But I usually listen to Christian radio...it's a lot cleaner than regular radio. I noticed that you were telling kiwi_strawberry that you aren't good at exercising. Me either...I'm just plain lazy. I'm lucky that I have high metabolism or I'd probably be really fat. But I took dance for...I think it was 6 years. But I haven't kept up with it in the past year or so. The same thing with Kick boxing. I really love it, but I just haven't had the time. But if we're talking about strictly exercise here I got the coolest DVDs. It's called "Zumba" and it's latin style dancing. It's so fun and it can burn up to 700 calories an hour. Thanks for praying for my sister. She's got a funny shaped bladder that constantly flexes. The doctors are operating so that her bladder won't, well...explode. The surgery is "routine", but I'm still a little worried. And she's only been gone for a day, but I'm missing her like crazy! Write soon... thespitfiredragon (Megan) |

yeah i feel ya one the whole exercising thing...i do Tae-Bo but only every once and a while. Like spitfire it's hard for me to pick a fav. movie because i have so many but i would have to say at the top of my list are: To Kill A Mockiongbird, Ocean's Eleven, A Few Good Men and Sense and Sensibility. I haven't seen Finding Nemo but it does look cute and with a younger sister i probably will, and i like A Knights Tale also...Heath Ledger is so hot!!!. As for my favorite songs and artist, my number one is Matchbox Twenty. I just saw them in concert with Sugar Ray which i love as well and it was awesome. I also love jason MRaz, Maroon 5, Goo Goo Dolls, Backstreet Boys, Avril Lavigne and so many others. And in my family its a prerequiste that you are well verse in the oldies and so i was breed an oldies fan!!! Umm as far as books i love anything by Jane Austen ( i am a major romantic), I love the Harry Potter series, To Kill a Mockingbrid is by far my favorite novel. But generaly i love romantic novels, dramas, and mysteries. Your not a complainer as i saw you told spitfire b/c its always good to let things out and release. I know the three of us just meet but i don't think spitfire nor i would mind at all listening to anything you have to say. Whats up with your Ex? I have done the whole not answering the phone or not returning phone calls thing as well so i understand where you were coming form with that. Also to spitifre i am sorry to hear about your sister. my younger sister has a bladder problem but she takes medication for it so i can sympathize and i hope everything goes well for her and your family. until later kiwi_strawberry (courtney) my AOL screen name is clcshorty2003

spitfire,
Boy, we talk twice a day, don't we? If I ever move to New York, they'd probably recognize my words! I just couldn't resist calling her a weasel..I feel like Yosemite Sam! I dislike a lot in our society...stuff that's rated pg-13 should be rated r. nd once on tv was a movie of Nancy Drew and in the books of her that I've read, the worst thing she said was "dislike" but in the movie, she had high-tech gear, a new car, and a foul mouth. Bess was the same. How disapointing. So I don't like much now. Good Fences is defenitely the worst! Don't watch it- I strongly advise that you not! I read so much, my family complains. I read anywhere and any time I can. Once in a while if I'm bored, I'll read a book that I've read a zillion times before. Once I walked in Living Water, a Christian book store, where Left Behind: The Kids books were. I was so happy that I would have been able to have 28-30. But to my surprise, the only one that I haven't yet had that was there was number 28! I was so upset. But while the others watched a scary movie, I read the one I bought. I read it all in almost 2 hours. I have anothe rfeeling of anger because of what my mom and sisters say: "No wonder you don't have any friends!" That kicks me in the stomach every time. I know I don't have many, but they don't have to get on my case about it. Ok, I've made more enemies than friends in the past high school year, but they still don't have to do that. Well, I sure do hope that your sister gets better soon. Tell her I said she better! Jk. You don't have to. Brooke |

kiwi,
I can't choose a movie without having a complain against it- they all are really dumb! As I told spitfire, pg-13 movies should really be rated r. Good Fences is an example- I positively hated it! I didn't even chuckle. As my exercise goes, I'm not a cow, but not a stick..ok I'm a little more towards the cow, but not exactly a cow. Thanks ( you and spitfire) for understanding of my comlaints- and hopefully you won't hear a lot of it. Well, right now he's technically not my ex, but I say it's over...he doesn't know it yet. I wrote a break-up letter to him but I really need a stamp. I had a suspecting feeling about him- that he has been probably cheating on me and tht's why he hadn't called for 19 days. I think I just want to be friends with him, like we had been before. He said that he at first liked me for my looks. I can't help but take it as offensive- it's kind of shallow for him to find only looks attracting. I can't talk to anyone else about it and I'm dying to talk to someone who'll listen and actually understand. I almost told my friend Grace but she wouldn't understand- I mean, if she acted like I was crazy when I said we haven't talked for a while, imagine what she'd do if I told her that he's not "the one"!
