Hello just came across this site. I'm planning to come to Scotland and I was wanting to know some places to go and see when I come. I dont want the tourist stuff though I want to see the real scotland. Anyone with some ideas?

Hi there Ga Gal! Welcome. Be sure to check in the Travel forum, there is a lot of interesting info and good advice there about travel in Scotland. As far as avoiding the 'touristy' stuff, that will be fairly difficult, tourism is a big industry there. You don't h ave to participate, but you can't avoid it! Just get off the beaten path, find a neighborhood and visit the local areas, take the trains or the city buses somewhere.
