Name is Deni,

I'm an American (female) living in Taipei, Taiwan.

Not trying to be Scottish but just looking around on the forum for research - might ask a question here or there. But rest assured, you won't catch me using any phrases or words because I'd feel silly and will probably look silly.

I have some Scottish Ancestry way back on the vine but haven't really dug deep to trace it because it's impossible.

I've been to Scotland twice - "just because" or for no particular reason. While everyone was going to Spain or Italy, I just wanted to be different - so I went to Scotland and really liked it there.

So anyway, I'll spend most of my time in the Language forum for a bit of research and lurking everywhere else.

Don’t you worry about coming across as silly on this site, it doesn’t seem to bother anyone else, in fact some of us thrive on it.

There is no reason to be apologetic either, you do your own thing, in your own way. Anybody who doesn’t like it, well tough, that’s their problem.
