Any art students out there?

I'm 18 and just graduating from High School. I live in Kansas, USA. I will be attending college in the fall and plan to get a fine arts teaching degree. I was reading about the Leith School of arts in Edinburgh. Thought I would investigate a way to visit Scotland during the summer and take a couple of classes while I visited a few weeks. Any artists out there? What's a good accomodation choice that would be reasonably priced for a month close to the school? Can anyone provide me with any leads?
