Hi all from Adelaide
Hi all from Adelaide
My wife and our family are thinking of moving to Scotland in 6 or so months time, probably around the Fyfe area, to care for an older relative We have a two and a half year old daughter, and are looking at a completely fresh start We are apprehensive about moving to a newcountry and culture but believe it to be rewarding but any hints tips or just basically rundowns of everyday life in Scotland would be appreciated to give us a heads up Even down to are there large scale supermarkets, or are there small market style shops, these are the things we are worried about (well im a little worried about not enough sport on tv, but my wife has more practical concerns) ![]() Thanks in advance Mick from Australia |

If you look in the 'Moving' forum here, many of the questions you might have will have already been asked and answered! Supermarkets? It all depends - if you are intending to live in a large town or city, then the supermarkets will be bigger than most of those I've visited in Australia! In country areas, however, there may be small co-ops, but you may have to travel to the nearest town to get a fair-sized shop. Mind you, being an Aussie, you won't think our distances are worth mentioning...! BTW - the 'Kingdom' is FIfe, not FYfe! I'm assuming you must have dual nationality if you intend to settle here. |
