Smile Hello from Ethiopia!
Hi everyone

I'm from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I've been studying in Edinburgh for a while now....

There is one Scottish family I know. I want to take something when I go to their house. But I don't have a clue on what to buy them. Any suggestions? They're old couple, perhaps in their 60's. Budget in the range 20-30 pounds.

.... and welcome....

I think your friends will be thrilled with something that is genuinely from Ethiopia or Africa. I am assuming of course they haven't travelled to Ethiopia before, so perhaps an object from your country's history or something that is uniquely Ethiopian. Scots people like to be surprised.... in a nice way I would think they would love a conversation piece to show to their friends and family, especially if it had some meaning or history to it.

Scots people would like to be surprised in a nice way. hmmmm.... So a long sword from my country is out of the list j/k

If you cannot get them something from your own country how about a framed picture of
Edinburgh or even somewhere that the may have spoken about and liked !!

It is a little hard to think of anything else as I don't know what their likes and dislikes are !!

If I do think of something I will let you know !!
