Lost daughter of Scotland
Greetings everyone. I'm new to the forum and while American by birth (and have only a lick of scottish blood), I am truely a lost daughter of Scotland.
It's my dream to someday visit the land who's song haunts my soul, but at the same time I'm afraid that I, like so many others before me, will be so bespelled that I will be unable to leave without great anguish. It would not be so bad if I had the means to stay but I don't. What is it about Scotland that, even after several generations removed, it calls out to it's children the promise of home that they'd never felt anywhere else?
Also I was kind of surprised (and dismayed) that this forum, with over 60 thousand users doesn't have more active posting. Have people drifted in an out? Did this place used to be more popular and has since waned?
Anyway it's nice to be here now.
