Red face Glasgow and Music

G'Day Paisleybuddie

Sorry to hear about your husband but
it will be a positive experience for you
to return to the Old Country after
22 years. I hate to disappoint y ou but
Lewis's has long gone, not too sure
about C & A think it may have gone too.
My mum lives in Renfrew and she can still
catch a bus into the city, Argyle Street or
thereabouts. I wouldn't worry about buses,
as they are an abundant service throughout
Glasgow. The Barras are still very much
part of the Glasgow scene and I'm sure you
will enjoy visiting there.

I have lived in Melbourne ,Australia for
17 years now and enjoy my life here; have
been home three times and hope to see my
old mum again next year 2003 if all goes
well. What part of Canada are you from and
what is life there in a cooler climate?

Lena Martell is no longer singing. (Some sort of throat infection, I think) Last time I saw her (about four years ago) she was living in Bishopbriggs in Glasgow.

To Tricia G

Thank you for your E-mail !

I was interested in Tommy Scott the Scottish singer.
My friends and I just saw his videos a short time ago and really enjoyed him and the lovely Scottish scenery, and would like to know something about him but have not had any luck.

Would love to hear from you if you have any information

Thank you again

Scottie

Red face Lena Martell

G'Day TriciaG

Thanks so much for your information
regarding Lena Martell.
I've been wondering for a long time
what happened to her. I realize she
must be getting on now but I had never
heard of her for ages. I know she
had a throat condition years ago and
maybe it has returned, but good to
know where she is and that she has
probably retired. Showing my age!!

Hi again Paisleybuddie

Haven't got around yet to finding your
Tommy Scott disc, but as soon as I
am around the music shops I certainly
will and look forward to all that
lovely Scottish scenery. I think when
you are overseas you appreciate the
scenery more, especially combined with
good singing.
