I just thought i'd start a thread to tell u all who are my fav bands, and then see who else likes em and stuff - oh, and im trying to get posts dun:
So, ok, in no order of preference, apart from Travis being my favourite:
Travis, Coldplay, Linkin Park, Semisonic, Dido, Garbage, Ash, Feeder, The Offspring, Dumdums, David Gray, JJ72, Gorillaz, U2, and i rekon that's it outta the people i really like, from Offspring onwards they're people i kinda like, but not as much as Travis to Feeder.
U may notice a distinct mix of indie and rock - and yeh, i guess it's kinda strange to like both Linkin Park and David Gray - try not to worry bout it, it depends what mood im in as to what i listen to

Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Nice to see someone mention JJ72.
Fave song of there's has to be 'Brother Sleep' off 'I to Sky'.

Also like:
These Animal Men, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Libertines, S*M*A*S*H, Electric Soft Parade, The Who, The Stooges, New York Dolls, 60ft Dolls, The Charlatans, The Inspiral Carpets, North Side, Northern Uproar, The Stone Roses,The Rolling Stones, T-Rex, Dr John, Parle Kool, Snowboy, Aphex Twin, Leftfield, The Chemical Brothers, U.N.K.L.E, Muse, The Cure, Tom Mcrae, Damien Rice, Ed Harcourt, blah blah blah.

The Girl Who, if you're keen on David Grey, I really do recommend very strongly that you listen to Tom McRae, and a little of Damien Rice. Tom McRae's just bought a new album out called Just Like Blood, and I believe Damien Rice's new album is either just out, or out very soon. Particular favourites of their's include 'Walking 2 Hawaii' by Tom McRae and 'Amiee' by Damien Rice.
Ed Harcourt is cool too, though a little more rocky than Damien Rice or Tom McRae, but since your tastes show no fear of a bit of grit, you might like him too.

You appear to have pretty good tastes, a little commercial and limited if you don't mind me saying (you're probably getting limited exposure) and no offence intended, but pretty good, so I can make recommendations for someone like yourself until the cows come home. Just give us a shout any time.
I'm not here all that often, so be patient with me.
