What's everyone doing for New Year's Eve?

Anyone thinking of visiting South West Scotland could do worse than to go and see the fantastic Norman Mackay Ceilidh Experience in Portpatrick (near Stranraer) on New Year's Eve. They're playing as part of a Hogmanay celebration from which all profits will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be support from the Glasgow band Jumpstart and local drumming group Drum For Fun, there will also be a raffle and an auction with some truly sublime prizes, a licensed bar and food available (including proper scottish pies and baked potato with haggis!)

How strange that someone who uses "hogmanay" within their handle would choose to refer to 31st December in such a foreign way.

Thanks, Mr. Moderator ! Lots of tickets have been sold already but it would be good to sell even more in order to raise as much money as possible for the Macmillan nurses who do such a great job. Anyone seeking info can just search for Hogmanay At The The Port (or see Norman Mackay's Ceilidh Experience page to hear their music)
