Too much Jimmy Shand on TV when I was a girl means I try to avoid accordion music if I can!

You could try Scottish music, Scottish culture and free Scottish music podcast from Foot Stompin' although I don't know if they have any CDs by Mr Stewart.

Jimmy Shand was real straight-faced compared to more outgoing box-players like Jimmy Blue and Micky Ainsworth !

Remember Billy Connolly's true story about Jimmy Shand ?

Jimmy and his band were on tour and were in some country hotel having breakfast. During the meal, the waitress brought Jimmy some toast plus butter and honey. As Jimmy looked down and saw this one little plastic pot of honey on his plate, he looked up at the waitress with his dead-pan face and said "I see you keep a bee then !"
