I can't really believe he's dead. He wasn't old.

His album with Baker street is a classic.

Apparently, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle based Sherlock Holmes in Edinburgh and having the same names as the London streets people believed it was in London... that's what I heard anyway. I never did any research in to it.

Good God ! He must have been sixty-something ? Similar age to Billy Connolly maybe ?

I though Gerry Rafferty was great and his most-well known songs (Baker Street and Stuck In The Middle) still hit the airwaves and appear in movies.

That's pretty well set my mood for today.
