Ayrshire's Nicola Benedetti.

Folks, this "Scottish Fiddler", (no connection to Scottish Labour), appears with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, in this superb recording of Tchaikowski's & Max Bruch's violin concertos (or is it concerti), wery good whatever. I've been listening to it on the wireless (Classic FM) when driving, but found it on HMV at £8 incl, p & p. Time this site had a bit of Culture!
wullie.

Superb 75th Aniversary Concert last night, by the Scottish Symphony Orchestra at the City Halls, Glasgow. Nicola Benedetti was the soloist, Beethoven's Violin Concerto, she gets better & better, it never ceases to amaze me how a soloist can play for the best part of an hour without a sheet of music. Great work by all concerned, including the audience, for struggling into town through this snow. wullie.
