Susan Boyle continuing to rock the world -

Susan Boyle has the voice of an angel. I am so proud of her and you must be too.

I hope she keeps those die-for eyebrows. They're unique, interesting, and all hers.

Why would I be proud of her?
I don't know her and I don't know her family.

I've heard her sing and while she is obviously a very good singer (what more can you say after only hearing one song?) I wouldn't say I was "proud of her"... after all, why should I be? Like Polwarth, I don't know the woman!

If you are using how good someone does something as a basis for being "proud" of them, then you must be proud of quite a lot of people maggieblue. Or is there some other reason you are singling out Susan Boyle?

I was totally underwhelmed by her performance and I think the subsequent adulation of her has been completely over the top-she could only win second prize in a talent contest at Bo'ness social club so how she has suddenly become a global singing sensation is beyond me. If she has any sense she'll rip up her contract with BGT and start recording and touring right away while there is so much interest in her.

The more fuss made about her the more sorry for her I feel. People are basically saying "WOW, for an ugly bird you can really sing!". As for being proud of her, I'm not either. Any interest I had wore off after I watched the video.

If she was a total babe, no-one would be half as interested in her. The majority of people must associate good looks with talent I suppose?
