You guys should be ashamed of yourselves, but if that's the way you want to be, do it to yourselves. Don't you guys realize she has rocked the world - the world response to her is wonderful.

She's fantastic - her voice is incredible, gives me goosebumps every time I hear her. How can you feel sorry for anyone with a voice like that - a dear gift from God is what it is.

Whether she 'wins' on that show or not is really immaterial at this point - she's already won the hearts of the world.

I should be ashamed about my subjective opinion of her singing? Why on earth would I be ashamed about my tastes in music? Sure her voice is great but it just isn't my type of music. I don't have any qualms about criticising the hysteria over her performance. Regardless of how good she was the response has been absurd and far from being wonderful it just proves to me what a superficial society we now live in where performers on TV shows are lauded as heroes.

She's a wee wumman fae Bathgate (or wherever) - you've almost got her canonised.

Why would YOU think that Scots should be worshipping at the wee wumman's feet? Why would YOU say we should be ashamed?

Where you fae?

What is happening is not hysteria over her appearance,
it's appreciation of her music and of her. After all, those of us many who appreciate her don't have too many ways to show that at this time.

You can personally think what you want about music and we all surely have our own tastes. That being said, she's a newfound font!

We all have different tastes and should not be ashamed or criticised for it.

I personally think she will be a here today gone next year singer...once the press have
had enough of her she will fade into the distance as other have.

She hasn't won any hearts in our house !!!

Why?

And who are you to decide when we should be proud and when we should be ashamed?

It's a disappointment to learn that anyone in Scotland isn't supportive
to her.
