Cool

This is sooo funny! I was thinking about being a contributor to a UK clubbing mag.....<tsk, tsk, tsk>

I agree with you Robin about the Gulf. The best place to see it is anywhere along the pan handle of Florida.

I also agree with "don't watch the scale." I only look at the scale when my clothes are fitting a little loose. Helps you not to become over anxious.

LOL@Becca!

Evie, you will really appreciate "conditioning" before your backpacking trip!
Keep it up! Just keep reminding yourself how much COOLER it will be in Scotland, (...although...steeper probably too, so give those calves and thighs a good workout!)
Keep in mind what Robin mentioned about muscle being more dense than fat. While you are losing some of the fat you are rebuilding muscle so even though you KNOW you are getting results it may not show on the scale for a few more weeks. (And as Becca pointed out...sometimes how your clothing fits is the best gauge of all.)

btw, I hear that Pensacola has very nice beaches.

Yes Willy, Pensacola beaches are very nice. Unfortunately they are like so many other nice places, over run with tourists. But we are all tourists ourselves, so what to do about it? There is a nice place in Pensacola, I think it is called Fort Pickens. I camped there once. It is an old fort that has an interesting history. It is a state park and has really nice beaches that have a lot less people on them. The road to the fort is long and has beaches on both sides. The ocean side of course has waves and then the bay side that has calm water (good for the little kids and the big kids that way).

If you want to see beautiful (and warm) beaches you really should go to the carribean! Don't even get me started on that!

Speaking of a ladies favorite subject, her weight It reminds me of a cartoon I saw once. Two heavyish girls were looking at a height/weight chart and one said to the other, "According to this chart we should be 6 feet tall..."

Oh BTW, not that it really matters anyway, but tomorrow (the 14th) is one year since I registered at s.com. I take that back, it does matter. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was a small act that really ended up making a big impact on my life. I think July 14th will be a wonderful day! Well, the weather should be nice anyway, huh Willy! (it always is here after all...)

Oops! I just double checked my registration date and it was one year ago today, not tomorrow! Oh well, the weather was still really great, and I did see a shooting star tonight! That makes it even more special. Now, I wonder if that increases the chance of the wish I made coming true! cool!

I never realized you were here before me.....(I must love to hear myself talk or see myself post way too much...)

You and Dawn and T-bird and Jells, Evie and Becca, Pudding, Maureen & Kathleen, Diane and Nicki and a lot of the others make this place a really nice place to be! (Oh...and of course...they "guys" too....) lol!
