Herro everyone! I love scary stories, so that sounds like a fun thing to do for Halloween.

Eve, the time to go will be here before you know it and you'll have so much fun. And then you'll be back home with Katerina. Are you staying in the same area where you live now? I know you won't be on the base, but the same town? It would be pretty exciting to start over, but I'll be stuck in this podunk town the rest of my life. Oh well, it's home. Get lots of hugs from those kids you babysit and you'll feel much better. Rain is wonderful, isn't it?!

Hello All,

You guys are great. Yes I will be in Columbus still. I am looking forward to starting over and having a reall life with my daughter and Colin. You know through this whole thing I have been forced to things about ME that I didnt like and I am glad i have friends to turn to and that i have colin and katerina to help me through it all. I am able to get through each day now with out crying as much for my baby..she is having fun and i know that she is ok whwere she is till i get things settled here and close the book on the past..once i leave for scotland i will have that book just about closed and then completely when i get back and move..My dreams are starting to come true and that means everything to me...I guess being a mom means everything to me and being away from her is really hard...never thought it could be so hard..but each day is getting easier and i miss her like crazy..well I have to go on my walk now..I am losing the wieght i gained and i feel so much better after the walk..so i am off and thanks it means allot..

Evie

Hi Evie!
The first time my boys left me, (for a whole week at 6th grade camp...), was so hard. But we had so much fun saving "momentos" of our differing time which in a way seemed like such a "growth" experience. As hard as it may be to be parted, you end up appreciating each other that much more and tend to grow a bit in a wee different area than you typically expect.
I find between e-mail and phone calls and pkg.s in the post it can be a most fascinating time. Send katrina a package or two and with the postcards from Scotland I think she will love your thoughts...and be happy for you that you are realizing a dream come true! That's important for children that they realize dreams can come true and I am really proud of you that you are able to illustrate that potential to your daughter!

(...and you're gonna have SO much fun!!! lol!)

Thanx for the info on the ship Willy. I loved your 'herro' story. It reminded me of when my parents lived in Singaore. My mom wanted to rent the movie 'American Flyer'. We asked the people at the front desk if they had it and everyone looked confused and agreed that no, they didn't have it. So we started looking for another movie. In the process we found 'American Flyer'. At the check out my mom said yes they did have the movie because we found it. The clerk said, "Oh! 'American FRYER' you didn't say you wanted 'American Fryer'!" I was great in Singapore. I have a million stories...

Eve, I am sorry to see you so down. Crying and talking about things are a good way to let things out sometimes. Good luck with the move. I am SO proud of you loosing weight!!! Way to go! And I agree with you about walking in the rain. I ride my bike in the rain. People look at me like I am crazy for riding in the rain, and I think to myself that I feel sorry for them that they aren't out enjoying the rain! And by the way, Scotland is even more beautiful when it has been raining!

Dawn, if you ever want to go to the ocean, don't come here. The water is really cold! Try the Gulf instead.

I grew up swimming in the Pacific, so that's what i thought all ocean water was like. THen a few years ago when i went to Crete and swam in the Sea of Crete (where the Mediterranean sea and Aegean sea meet and mingle), the water was so warm, like bath water!!! I couldnt believe it and i never wanted to come out of it!

(I've been to Corpus Christi, but didnt go swimming in the Gulf... is the water lovely and warm??!)

Hiya Every1,

I am looking forward to my trip allot..Colin has started a scrap book for diane and me and i plan to send that or something like it to katerina. Colin is getting post cards for me to send her..He gave her his mobile number to call me anytime or to call him while i am on the tour. She asked me to make her some homemade choclate cookies..so i am gonna do that this weekend. Her and Colin both love Chocolate. I have spoken to her every night and she sounds great..I just cant wait to have her home.

I am glad to be losing the wieght also..My mother and dad said they can tell in my face that i am losing the wieght..funny how the scale has yet to show it..lol..I stopped walking for three days and let me tell you it makes a big difference..Last night after the walk i felt energized and even this morning i still feel it a bit..I was wired for sound till 1am this morning..lol..I am thinking of adding the morning to my walks to if it is not to hot for my day care kids..and me...But not walking for those few days i can tell the diff in my mood..

Yes the rain is great. I wish it was raining now..lol...i love the rain and cold weather..Colin says I will love scotland then..lol..I am gonna make breakfast for the kids and see about a short walk this morning..hopefully it is not to darn hot already...thanks again..

Evie
