A few more suggestions:
Battlefield Band Peatbog Faeries Wolftones (not to be confused with Wolfs Tone, mind they're no bad either) Phil Cunningham & Ally Bain Cape Breton (Canada) produces some crackin' musicians as well so see if you can track down any performers from there. drummy [This message has been edited by drummy (edited 11 August 2000).] |

I'm really quite catholic (non religious sense) in my musical tastes. Trouble is I can never remember the names of the bands I've seen and like! Since my wife is Irish, I've spent more time than is good for an 'auld yin's' health in sessions into the early hours in pubs. Mind you I rely on my brother to keep me up to scratch on the latest 'folk' developments. As periodic, self-employed wood carver he seems to have more time than me. Listening to Travelling Folk on BBC Scotland does help though! Always good to find a fellow traveller. drummy |

Is Drummy still away?
Good luck, pal..thinking aboot ye!! Noo, it's safe tae mention the Corries )Ah realised when i answered Bobby's post about the National Anthem that ah hadnae seen them mentioned in here...how could we have missed them? Flower of Scotland, it might no be loved by all of us (maself included, prolly cos it's assosciated wae many drunken nights, in ma mind!) but they did do some really great stuff. |
