hey all !!
I have a friend who is planning a trip to Scotland at the end of this yr. around Oct.,Nov. Does anyone have any good suggestions of places for her to visit?? I suggested that she visits the north western area of Scotland, it's beautiful. Ullapool, and Fort Williams area. I am open for suggestions to pass on .. thanks all.. |

I assume Edinburgh is already on top of the list of places to visit.
Some personal favorites: Weather permitting, the drive through Glen Coe to Oban is awesome. Glenfinnan. Skye. Inverness. Not to slight the south, the Borders is lovely - Melrose, Jedburgh. |

Hi Caitlyn (great name), welcome to Scotland.com. :-)
If you go to the forum entitled "Travel and Tourism" the first topic is "Coming to Scotland? Come here first!" It's the place for this kind of advice and you'll get more responses than might show up here -- why under the Forum of MUSIC AND ART of all places? -- in a new topic that duplicates already existing ones. A number of people have posted trip reports and advice in other forums. I'd post mine here, but I can't remember what thread it came up in so I can't find it! And I'm too confused and exhausted from slogging through all the forums and topics and posts, most of which duplicate others and are in the entirely wrong forums and topics so I can't tell what's where! -- to retype it for you and your friend here. :-) Rhiannon ------------------ (roaming in the gloaming) <http://www.wmhg.org> [This message has been edited by Rhiannon Gloaming (edited 15 August 2000).] |
