Does anyone still practice their chanters out there? I would like to hear on anyone's chanter/bagpipe learnings. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer.

Hey,bagpipeboy, It's me Donnar. I posted a note to my bb and got two e-mail notices that there were two replies. Went there and nothing... couldn't find the one I wrote nor the two supposedly replies. hmmm I guess they went off into cyber space...Saw this new site thought I would give you a holler. How's things going? I am still practicing, but have slowed down a little. Have been real busy, I'll be sooo glad to get to TX. and settled in.
Give me a holler when you have time.

Well it sounds to me like everyone is making progress but the progess we're making is a bit slow for some people becuase of lack of free time, so I figured I will give whomever wants to try it a tune to learn. An easy one that is slow and will be good for a beginner song. Now...let's see if this works...

Hi Iain & Monzon, Just checked in for the first time in a couple of weeks. Monzon, I hope you are feeling better, and your car too.
I printed out the music you put on, Iain, will give it a try this evening Thanks!!! I think things are slowing down here. I only have about two weeks at this address. Will give you all a holler when I get to the great state of TX.
Keep in touch.. I have missed y'll

Hey! I am ten years old and have had my full set of pipes since January. Last weekend I was sent to Callie to play at a wedding in front of a water fall. It was fun. Well what I really want to ask is what are some great tunes to play? I already know Brown Haired Maiden, Scotland the Brave, High road to Gareloch, Scots wah hae, Going home, Highland laddie, Mairie's Wedding, and Amazing Grace. Do any of you know any other good tunes for a Piper? If so thanks!, Bubba

Hey Bubba,
What you trying to do show us old folk up??
Just kidding.. Congradulations on you accomplishments. You have learned all those songs in four months. WOW!!
There is one site that has music of all kinds one book is for weddings and funerals. It seems to have a lot of "stuff" there. Mind you, I haven't ordered anything from them, but it looks good. It's: www.aberdeenbagpipe.com The music is listed under Piping Products at the bottom of the page.
10 years old? hmmm Well, I guess I had better sign off and start practicing more... Good luck Bubba! You are one great young (man?) person!! Bet your parents are proud of you!! Keep up the good work.
