Hi Dawn,
Has Garrett forgiven you yet for sharing his new love life with us? (lol!) I haven't seen the Green Mile yet but it's on my "must-see" list. American Beauty was very unsettling for many reasons, It started out almost rather humorous but really went off into some strange directions, it is an odd movie to garner Best Picture at the Oscars. (Then again, I was totally rooting for Saving Private Ryan to win over Shakespeare in Love last year, so what do I know?) ![]() I changed my photo album from "friends" to "open" (which is kind of scary because I hate for just anyone to go in there). I had some photos of friends I wanted to post but Corey has been working nights at Radio Shack and in school during the day and I haven't had the heart to burden him with my scanner. That's why most the photos are stuff I had scanned previously for one reason or another so they were easy to load effortlessly. Glad you liked the Kiltcaper! That was one fun night! (I almost posted the shot of my sister on the bartenders shoulders from that same night.) That was also the same night we danced the Time-Warp on the Castle grounds, (and did the "torture" shots in the dungeon...) We were also seeing who could kick the highest that night, (Bartender was a kickboxer and my sister & I cheerleaders), and doing the splits. I told you my family was weird! The Prince Charles shot also cracks me up, it's such a bad cut & paste but also was such a fun night at Amanda's flat. I don't suppose you also noticed the empty wine bottle there! (That Prince Charles, what a lush!) lol! Amanda's flat was on the top floor of the building and we crawled out the windows that night to the top of the roof. I felt just like Mary Poppins without the umbrella! What a great view that was though. That photo was from our trip before last to the UK. Hey, T-Bird, don't feel bad about your 2nd husband, (was that the same one who drank his way through Ireland?) My sister's first fiancee turned out to be gay also, so go figure...(He probably would have fallen in love with our Scottish bartender!)

I;ll go try your album again Willy.
Thanks for telling me about your sisters ex... i guess i am not alone! (Yeah, it was the same one i told you about in Ireland!) Actually, a few weeks after we split up, i saw something on TV.. a chat show and the topic was "Women who are married to gay men" and i thought *snap!* Jells... i collected all my tokens and sent them all off yesterday. I think they do the drawing on the 10th, so shortly thereafter you should see a fotie of me in the Record with Ally McCoist (mmmm) and a bottle of bubbly in front of my new house and car! T, I guess every donation place does things differently, the one I go to doesn't ask about unprotected sex, but is more specific and if you answer yes, then they ask you for details when they have you in a private little room checking your blood pressure and iron and such.
Better luck to you and your tokens than I had on the Drew Carey contest, I just knew I was going to win that one! But tomorrow I'm going to win a new riding lawnmower. The volunteer ambulance service is taking donations for a new ambulance and for $50 you get your name in the drawing. I can't believe I paid that much, but it's for a good cause and you never know, I could get lucky! |

Di, I agree with you on the Saving Private Ryan thing. I watched Shakespeare in Love on Pay Per View after I got back from my trip because I had been to his wife's family's cottage in Stratford and thought it might have something to do with them, but I was sorely dissappointed! The movie was okay, but I was looking for more history and not so much fiction.
My family is a little crazy too. My mom is the most fun, they like to go to Vegas and such quite a bit. We have a lot of fun at our family get togethers. If I get to go to the UK again next summer, I hope she will go with me. They are going to Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek next weekend and I think we are going with them. Mom's boss owns a huge house in the mountains and the employees can use it any time they want to. I'm just at the point where I need to "get the hell out of Dodge" for a while. That's great that Corey's working at Radio Shack, with his computer knowledge, I'm sure he'll be a big help to the customers, and he'll learn more also. |
