Visit the website of Gaeic singer, Margaret Stewart, from the Isle-of-Lewis. Margaret has been hailed as "the most authentic voice in traditional Gaelic singing". She is a native Gaelic speaker from the Isle-of-Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, having only learnt English when she went to school.

She has recorded two albums, to date, with piper Allan MacDonald (Fhuair Mi Pòg and Colla Mo Rùn), and from info on her website it looks like she is due to record a solo album this year.

She has performed at Celtic Colours Festival in Cape Breton on two occasions.

Visit her website on http://www.margaretstewart.com

I have been fortunate enough to make her aquaintance recently and have heard her in concert on several occasions. I can guarantee that to hear her 'live' is every bit as good as her recordings.

If you are a lover of Scottish Trad music, you should have definitely have these CDs in your collections, they are now considered 'classics'.
