Hey, it's been a while since anyone has shared what they are working on or do.

Among other things, i am an expert knitter and teach classes. Had one this morning where i'm teaching cabling, so today i'm working on an Irish style cable knit... i'm adapting a patter to zoop it up... i like cables to extend into the cuffs and i'm tayloring it a bit. It's a cardigan and matching skirt, and i'm going to dye the wool in coffee when i'm done.

What are you working on, knits, painting, ....?

Oh come ON!

28 people look in this thread and none of you post?

Were you hoping to see my etchings?

Hello HE!
I seem to recall that the last time we talked about knitting, tapestry etc - it became a to and fro thread between the two of us!

I'm working on another Kaffe Fassett tapestry. Very pretty pastel colours - oh and a large thistle tapestry that I bought in Stirling last summer. The basic background is two shades of cream - very BORING to do!

oh but it's going to be lovely when you finish!

a few years ago i was cross stitching and embroidering varieties of colorful celtic knots... in fact i was thinking of them just yesterday because i made them with the intention of framing them and putting them up and i never did. I like the knots because they are sort of meditative to look at... i guess like a labyrinth, which are all the rage here at churches and spiritual centers these days.

I did a lot of celtic knot tapestries about 20 plus years ago.... As I try not to attend any church, I don't know whether or not they are still popular here - but when I was young and a churchgoer - they were always a popular choice for embroidered 'kneelers' in the Kirks

Yes, here too, come to think of it. I used to be a church secretary in a church i didn't attend (it was actually a requirement of the job because previously they had had a secretary who, because they were a member of the congregation, had the unfortunate tendency to gossip and break confidences! They decided it was better to have a secretary without a conflict of interest!) Anyway, the kneelers i think were made in the 1970's, but they are gorgeous!

I've been talking with my housemate Desiree about our doing some photo sessions together soon... both of us are officers in a photography co-op but haven't had time lately to take pics.
