Scottish Celtic Fiddle players anywhere?

Does anyone here play the (Scottish) Celtic fiddle? I've been playing for about a year and a half now and I love it! Every Thursday night we have a Celtic music jam at a local coffee shop and I go and play when I have time. It's a blast!

I've recently taken up the tin whistle too - my roomate is teaching me the whistle and I'm teaching her the fiddle.

I play a the fiddle and a few whistles but in my humble opinion the bagpipes (GHB) and the small pipes are the most fun or it could be since im better at them...i dont know nothing beats the pipes

I'd love to learn the pipes but the lessons and pipes are far too expensive. So I'm sticking with fiddle and Irish whistle.

Well, good luck with the whistle and fiddle.If you dont want to play the pipes most pipebands offer free lessons and then some offer a set of pipes to use until you can buy your own....

I've been playing fiddle since I was 5. I wouldn't exactly say I "play the whistle" but I do it at a Feis every year and it's lovely and easy.

Fiddle is great fun. I won the intermediate solo fiddle competition in the Inverness Music Festival last year and am hoping to do it again..

I should probably practise.
