Who knows the band and who wants to talk about them on this forum?
I personally am a great fan ever since I heared 'Coisin Ruin' 4 years ago for the first time. The band has achieved much over the last years and they're still working on new stuff.
Karen Matheson has an amazing voice, what do you think?

I don't know the band AT ALL! Tell me more about them pls. What kind of music? If you had to compare them to some other wildly famous band, which one would it be?

Now that's a hard question...but let me try...
They mostly sing in gaelic, some songs are very traditional other quite modern. Karen Matheson, the leader sing has an amazing voice. The also play a lot of reels. Here's their website for some more info

Here I am! Woo hoo! You did it! I am a recent convert to Capercaillie! Just have one CD of theirs called "Choice Language" which is awesome! My favorite song on there is called "Dawn of the Day." I just ordered from Amazon, "To The Moon." I tried to get more of thier CDs from there but they were out of stock. I love their music and the fact that they sing in Gaelic and also Karen Matheson's voice. They are going to be touring the UK the beginning of next year.

They are? I didn't know, will have to read up the tour news. Do you know where about they are going to be playing? I just surfed the net, planning my summer holiday in Scotland...
Well since the band exists since the 80ies they've bought out quite a few cds. I haven't got too many either, and since I didn't know which one to get in the beginning I just bought their best of Album. That one is really great! I'll send it to you, I'm sure you'll also enjoy it!

Do you also have the song they played for Rob Roy? If not that one is also on their 'Best of Album'. It's a beautiful song!
