Celyn, I am pleased to say that fiddlemeister Aly Bain is still amongst the living, and given that he was born in the year 1946, will be depriving the worms of nourishment for a good few years to come.

My mistake in referring to him in the past tense, and I plead in mitigation that I was overcome with righteous fury at the MTV Pop Puppets invading our lovely Auld Reekie and polluting it will their ill bred behaviour.

They can come to Aberdeen next time, don't even have to take their own venue as we have fish hooses big enough to hold em all (or the now empty Amadeus at the beach). Plus they'll not look out of place amongst the ladles of flesh tottering along Union Street of a weekend...
