well you see... I'm a fan of scottish music... but I have no idea what bands I should look for... so please tell me some names:] I'd love to to know any traditional but also rock, alternative, metal, grunge, gothic and so bands^^

Two of my favourite scottish bands are Runrig and Capercaillie. Runrig does trad. songs but are more of a rock band. There also quite famous and as I'm told they're doing a gig in Edinburgh soon. Wish I could go...
Capercaillie is mostly traditional but still very good. They just got up a new album called choice language. They sing a lot in gaelic and also play a lot of jigs and reels.

Hi^^

Thx for those names:] I will look for some songs of them on Internet... because I doubt that I can buy them in any shop in Poland. Actually I like celtic music mixed with rock:] So I'm really interested in Runrig^^ we have polish band playing rock&celtic called Shannon:] On the celtic festival they will play^^ can't wait^^

Well on the net you hsould be able to find lots and lots of them but the cd stores should also carry a few of the scottish bands.

Yes you must find some Runrig, they are brilliant !!

They are playing at Stirling Castle this weekend, not saying who
has a ticket for them...lol

I only have 3 more Runrig CD's to buy and I have all they have done !!

There is a good CD by William Jackson that is called 'Celtic Tranquillity'
that I listen to often !!

well I found some Runrig... not much but I'm still trying... like for now I have 2 songs and I like them^^ so I will try to find more...

about cd's... you see... celtic music isn;t very popular in Poland... I mean... there is many bands... but you can't buy their cd's in normal music store... or it's very rare.
