I'm searching for a DVD copy of the Tutti Frutti series too if anyone can help. It sounds like there are a few forum members who made copies. Please contact me at jmathertrb@hotmail.com if you can.

Wow!
I'd really really really like to see Tutti Frutti again. Any kind souls out there have a copy on DVD?? Please, please, please. I can offer some kind of swap - I could do you a copy of The Crow Road on DVD (although I transferred it from video, and I've just seen that it's out on DVD for real so maybe that's not such a good offer!).What about an original complete Rhubarb and Custard DVD? Or how about some money? Please mail me at bladex@gmail.com Please. BladeScot |

Me too!
Having had a cousin "borrow" my tapes about ten years ago and never return them, every time I hear the phrase "the BBC has NO plans to re-screen Tutti Frutti" (which is every year as far as I can see) I feel a terrible pang of resentment. And annoyance at BBC Scotland for not finding a solution to the copyright problems and royalty fees (if that is indeed what the problem is – and not the legal stushie of some bam claiming "that was my idea").
From the royalties they must be raking in from Balamory merchandise surely they could manage it? There's been so much talk about Tutti Frutti being unavailable over the years that their marketing for the video is already underway! I think it would sell out immediately. It's kind of typical that when Scotland creates something really good quality, universally applauded and award winning we fail to celebrate it properly, and fail to take advantage of it. Think of the cast! We could be having Tutti Frutti tours (David Urquart travel take note); a Manhattan Casuals shop in every major town ... Anyway ... If anyone is willing to sell/swap a set of 6 whole episodes on tape or DVD you would make me a ridiculously happy woman. Longing to experience the electric sexual chemistry between Janice Toner and Eddie Clockerty one more time. "What do you think, Janice?" "These biscuits are stoatin" If anyone can help please email me: inanetree@NOSPAMyahoo.co.uk (please use email without the NOSPAM bit) |
