Tutti Frutti

When Noreen's trying to persuade Vincent to hobble into her car, so she can take him to the Glasgow Pavillion for the Majestics final concert, she calls him a "thrawn eejit."

I know what an eejit is, (?) but can anyone explain the meaning of "thrawn," if that's the correct spelling. Her accent seemed northern/highlands, whereas I'm a lowlander.

"thrawn" is the correct word. It is not used so much now, but is another word for stubborn.

For information I have seen that a "disc" copy of the complete series is available on e-bay at a reasonable price.

Just saw this thread today as I'm about to watch the series again on VHS. I have all the episodes taped on two old VHS tapes, but am missing the first half of Ep.3 and the last wee bit of Ep.6 (had to do some rough edits on it as I had 2 mins of tape for 5 mins of show!) but everything else is there.

I would think that it might be released on DVD within the next couple of years as all sorts of "odd" BBC stuff is getting a new lease of live on those shiny discs. Case in point is "Star Cops" - a 9 part BBC 2 series from 1987 with dodgy special fx, even dodgier acting, but a cracker theme tune from Justin Hayward! If this can sneak out, then so to can Tutti Frutti.

Maybe we should get Sheena Fisher on to the case! Just don't mention Kebabs!!

Smile Tutti frutti

I have been trying to get hold of Tutti Frutti for years and years. If anyone has all six episodes on VHS and is willing to copy for me I will pay any expenses. Or alternatively DVD although VHS preferred.

Mail me, I wait with baited breath

The whole series is now available on DVD, if anyone wants a copy.

No Longer Available

Unfortunately, following a complaint from the BBC, I can no longer send this dvd.
