Not really fella.
But they have a certain ring of originality to them.

Well then there is a point well taken.... The Beatles were an outstanding talented band.. and no, ringo was not a s*it drummer... not among the top 5, but not s*it....
Ringo may not have done the most amazing drum beats in the world, but he always knew exactly what to play, and he wasn't afraid of putting in the extra off beat high hat when he felt it would make a difference.
And that's coming from someone who's not a great Beatles fan.

Lovely Rita Meter Maid?
Michelle?
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds?
Martha my Dear?
Just a few more Beatles tracks with girls names in the title.

Wasn't Maggie Mae by Rod Stewart?

And isn't Jude a boys name? Especially since the song tells Jude to "go out and get her" as in make that girl love you? Nothing wrong with homosexuality but I don't think the tone of the song or the lyrics imply that homosexuality was the subject matter.

Bit of trivia for yis: The 'Jude' in the song is actually John Lennon's son Julian. This was confirmed by Paul McCartney, who wrote the lyrics. Prior to that, the popular theory was that it was a song about heroin (let it out and let it in).

'Maggie May' was a Rod Stewart song... 'Maggie Mae' is an old Liverpool folk song that the Beatles recorded a 30-second snippet of.

And the Waterboys are not an Irish folk band. Singer Mike Scott isnt even Irish, he's Scottish.
